Thursday, May 13, 2010

Following a recent
Expedia survey, a
Cheshire hotel has come out on top, being voted the best hotel in the UK, fourth best in Europe and eleventh best in the world. The Chester Grosvenor & Spa was one of only two UK hotels which made it into the top 79 in a global survey carried out by the online travel experts.
Already widely regarded as one of the best hotels in the Northwest, The Chester Grosvenor and Spa is one of only a handful of hotels outside London to boast a five red star rating from the AA.
The survey assessed 114,000 hotels around the world and was based on the opinions of over one million travellers. Scores were determined based on traveller opinions, value for money and the insight of Expedia’s own hotel experts.
Chris Brown, Chief Executive at Visit Chester & Cheshire comments:
“The worldwide high rating of The Chester Grosvenor and Spa only illustrates the commitment to quality venues and services that Cheshire as a destination offers. We are thrilled for the hotel’s achievements and hope that this will help to encourage more business travellers to explore the region”.
Jonathan Slater, Managing Director of The Chester Grosvenor & Spa adds:
“We work hard to provide guests with the best possible service to ensure they have the best experience during their stay with us. We are delighted to have been voted as the best hotel in the UK by our guests – as they really are the ones to matter most to us”.
As members of Visit Chester & Cheshire the hotel is available for business travellers, offering 80 bedrooms, a Michelin starred, 4AA rosette restaurant, a luxury spa and a variety of meeting and private dining spaces for 2 to 250 guests.
