Customers will pay no cancellation fees in the event of disrupted flights due to volcanic ash
Great Hotels of the World and Special Hotels of the World launch Ash Cloud Cancellation Policy
Friday, June 04, 2010

Great Hotels Organisation, the London-based hotel sales and marketing alliance representing some of the world’s finest independent hotels with the brands Great Hotels of the World and Special Hotels of the World has launched an “Ash Cloud Cancellation Policy” to give customers peace of mind when booking their holiday.

Any customer booking their accommodation through Great Hotels of the World or Special Hotels of the World will not be charged a cancellation fee if their flights are cancelled due to the volcanic ash cloud.

Carly Gotz, group director sales & marketing at GHO says “We’re aware of the unreliability of flights due to the recent volcano eruption and we don’t want this to worry people when booking their holiday. We know how important our customer’s holidays are and we want them to be able to book with confidence. That’s why we will support our customers by waiving all cancellation fees if their flights are cancelled due to volcanic ash. We would like to give our customers complete peace of mind when making a booking with us.”
