New value to hotel's guest experience
Flagship Paris Novotel enriches guest experience with new in-room portal
Monday, June 14, 2010

The flagship four-star Hotel Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel - with 764 rooms, the largest in the Accor group’s world-wide portfolio – is adding new value to its guest experience, by installing Quadriga’s guest communications portal, Sensiq, alongside the latest Philips flat-screen HD televisions.

Situated a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower and with its extensive conference facilities, attracting both business and leisure guests, the hotel will be able to more effectively communicate with its guests, and deliver a superb and highly intuitive experience. The portal will offer a wealth of HD-quality content, entertainment options and hotel information that is fully customised to reflect the hotel branding.

Sensiq will also be used as a tool to promote the hotel’s facilities and services with the aim of generating additional guest revenue opportunities. These include its gourmet Japanese restaurant, Benkay; leisure facilities; and gift boutique.

The portal incorporates user-friendly navigation to give guests access to the content they want as quickly as possible. It also provides multiple language options including Japanese. The latter appealed particularly to the team at Hotel Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel, as the hotel attracts many Japanese guests thanks to its previous ownership and high standards.

Rodolphe Leroux, directeur de programmes adjoint investissements Novotel France, says: “The hotel caters for a wide range of guests - from business travellers to families, of all nationalities - and it’s vital that we can offer these different audiences the sort of guest experience they are looking for.”

“The ability to deliver this standard of guest experience in all of our rooms by integrating Quadriga’s Sensiq into our existing single Cat 5 network infrastructure also made it a very cost-effective and efficient solution for us.”

Marc Budie, technology director at Quadriga, adds: “The starting point for the Hotel Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel was an urgent need to replace old analogue television screens in the room. Sensiq will help the hotel turn a significant capital investment into a communication medium, an information portal, an entertainment centre and a new revenue opportunity. We feel sure that Sensiq will cater to the varying expectations of the hotel’s global business and leisure guests, and deliver real business value to this flagship Novotel hotel in Paris.”

The installation will commence during the summer.
