Abacus TicketingExpress automates agency fulfillment operations
Thursday, June 17, 2010

Abacus, Asia’s leading provider of travel solutions and services, announced the release of the enhanced Abacus TicketingExpress, an automated pricing and ticketing solution that allows travel agencies to manage pricing and ticket issuance more efficiently. Abacus TicketingExpress saves travel agents up to 70% in fulfilment operational costs by simplifying ticketing processes, minimising processing time and inaccuracies due to manual entry.

Abacus TicketingExpress automates pricing through Auto Pricing which is a part of the fulfilment process that supports both net and published fares and is fully integrated with Abacus PowerSuite or any independent mid- and back-office system. This streamlines a travel agent’s entire workflow by saving time on ticket issuance while improving customer service through an email notification to the customer on his/her personalised travel itinerary via Abacus VirtuallyThere.

The solution is hosted and entirely managed by Abacus and is easily administered through the Internet browser eliminating the need for specific hardware and software.

Abacus International, Vice President, Marketing, Brett Henry calls Abacus TicketingExpress the complete solution to automated pricing and ticketing.

“Abacus TicketingExpress’ fully automated solution simplifies ticketing operations and eliminates the ticketing and pricing errors arising from manual processing. This will vastly enhance travel agencies’ operational efficiency and free up the agent’s time to focus on delivering dedicated customer service,” said Mr. Henry.

“Abacus TicketingExpress complements the other Abacus solutions we have implemented such as Abacus FareX and Abacus SmartPrice, streamlining our ticketing procedure. We look forward to the time saved from the improved work efficiencies and to redeploy our resources to focus on selling and generating revenue,” said Mr. Davy Batubara, Chief Operation Officer, P.T. Smailing Tours & Travel Services.

Mr Henry believes the new integrated workflow Abacus TicketingExpress will be warmly embraced by travel agents.
