Reykjavik by Day & Night is a new travel service company and a booking service that specializes in production and sales of travel related services with emphasis on entertainment and activities in and around Reykjavik. The company’s guiding light is that all services produced will support a more stable full year travel service industry to Iceland.
To reach these goals the company has started cooperation with several partners in product development and production of entertainment and activities in and around Reykjavik.
Reykjavik by Day & Night has just premiered the “Amazing Iceland Film Show” will be shown every day at Hotel Loftleidir in cooperation with Icelandair Hotels. The show will take the viewer on an unforgettable journey that captures all the spectacular splendors and untamed beauty of Iceland/s nature and way of life. Not to mention unique new volcano scenes from the 2010 volcano eruption.
The hit comedy show “Cellophane” by Bjork Jakobsdottur, previously staged in 12 European countries will be premiered in I NO Theater 24th of June, “Black Cabs” offering sightseeing trips in Reykjavik, “The Four Seasons of Iceland” – nature theme dinner shows in cooperation with Hotel Hilton Reykjavik Nordica and spend half a “Day with the zookeeper” in the Reykjavik Zoo to broaden the family related selection. These are some of the new entertainment activities that will be available for tourists in Reykjavik throughout the year.
Previous limited offerings for entertainment and other activities in Reykjavik, especially during the afternoon and over the winter period has most likely been a preventive factor for reaching more stable number of tourists visiting Reykjavik throughout the year and in fact added to the altitude of the seasonal peak.
Forecasts of the airlines regarding flights to Iceland during the year 2010 indicated further increased seasonal peak in the summer months compared to last year’s, underlining the importance for broader selection of entertainment services and serve as a foundation for destination demand.
