iBAHN completes first installation in Turkey at Courtyard by Marriott Istanbul International Airport
Thursday, July 01, 2010

iBAHN, the worldwide leader in digital entertainment and Internet solutions for the hospitality and meeting industries, announces that it has completed a High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) installation at the new Courtyard by Marriott Istanbul International Airport, iBAHN’s first installation in Turkey.

Guests will now enjoy wired and wireless access throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, meeting rooms and common areas, such as the restaurant and lobby where four iBAHN Lobby PCs have been installed. In addition, iBAHN has installed a fibre optic data line to guarantee high quality connectivity for all guests.

The Courtyard by Marriott Istanbul International Airport is a new 262-room hotel situated in the ‘business triangle’ composed of Turkey’s biggest, and Europe’s fifth largest, airport as well as congress, fair and exhibition centres such as CNR-Expo, IDTM and Tuyap. This means 90 per cent of guests are business travellers, who will not only enjoy iBAHN’s high quality HSIA services, but can also gain 60 minutes of free Internet access daily.

Business travellers with sensitive corporate information will also benefit from the highest standards of data security through iBAHN’s Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) solution, which eliminates the ability to steal guest data and provides total separation between different wireless users.

Wolfgang Koller, General Manager, Courtyard by Marriott Istanbul International Airport, comments: “At the Courtyard by Marriott Istanbul International Airport, business travellers can expect the most robust connectivity available. iBAHN has a long history of working in partnership with Marriott and provides a dependable support network and regional expertise that we trust.”

Graeme Powell, Managing Director EMEA, iBAHN, comments: “Istanbul is a vibrant and unique city as a result of its position as a gateway to both Europe and Asia. We’re very pleased that our first installation in Turkey is such an important Marriott location, and we’re confident that this will be the first of many announcements in the region.”
