As summer sets in, UAE holiday-makers and university staff, students and parents, can take advantage of special car rental deals from Hertz, the world’s largest general use car rental company.
 
For a limited time, UAE holiday-makers looking to escape the summer heat can benefit from car rental discounts of 15 per cent in participating countries in Europe including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the USA, and a 20 per cent discount on car rental in Australia.
 
The special rates apply to bookings made with the Hertz International Reservations desk before 30 July 2010, for car hire between now and 30 September 2010, for a minimum rental period of seven days.
 
“We are pleased to offer business and leisure travellers great rental rates this summer, with discounts of 15 per cent in key holiday destinations throughout Europe and the USA, and a 20 per cent discount for those visiting Australia,” said Nigel Johnson, General Manager of Hertz UAE.
 
The company has also launched an exclusive offer for the UAE’s academic community. University staff, students and their parents are eligible to receive a 25 per cent discount when renting a vehicle from Hertz.
 
“With 1,000 new vehicles purchased this year to date, students and staff hiring a car with Hertz can drive away in a brand new, reliable vehicle with the full range of safety features such as ABS brakes and airbags,” he said.
 
Hertz UAE, part of the Al-Futtaim Group of companies, offers a full range of car rental and leasing services from its extensive network of branches across the UAE in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Last month the company opened an exclusive service desk at Abu Dhabi International Airport, in the newly opened Sky Park Plaza, opposite Etihad's Airways Terminal 3.
