Vueling, Europe’s new-generation airline, carried 2,829,366 passengers during the second quarter, which represents a 102.3% increase year on year. The airline increased its load factor by 0.9 percentage points during the first semester, from 70.2% to 71.1% in 2010.

Seven new routes
On July 5th, the airline successfully started the operation of connecting flights through its main base, Barcelona, which now becomes a hub for Vueling.

Thanks to the connections Vueling-to-Vueling, the airline offers 418 connections, or 418 new routes. On top of an improved offer of destinations, Vueling is offering its connecting passengers discounts in shops and other advantages during its stopover in Barcelona.

First results of the integrated company
Vueling will publish second quarter results on July 27th. These results will account for the first time for twelve months effect of merger with clickair.
