Introducing Spain.co.uk and more
Sunshine.co.uk expand domain name family
Thursday, July 15, 2010

The founders of the UK’s leading online independent travel agent have announced the launch of a series of new domains, after expanding their profile to include spain.co.uk, Hawaii.co.uk, Cyprus.co.uk and others.

The founders of the UK’s fastest growing online independent travel agent sunshine.co.uk, Chris Brown and Chris Clarkson, are continuing to expand their travel website family with the introduction of ten new domains, specialising in location-specific holidays with travel expert advice.

After already announcing Majorca.co.uk, Tunisia.co.uk and Tenerife.co.uk, the founders of the sites have invested in a number of other domains to expand their business model. They now have 6 out of 7 of the Canary Islands as domain names, including the four most popular destinations in the Canaries.

The largest of the new location-specific websites will be Spain.co.uk, which similarly to the other sites will allow customers to find affordable holidays to various Spanish resorts. The founders expect the site to perform particularly well, following the country’s World Cup win.

The ten new location-specific domains that have been launched by sunshine.co.uk are;
spain.co.uk
crete.co.uk
cyprus.co.uk
elhierro.co.uk
fuerteventura.co.uk
grancanaria.co.uk
hawaii.co.uk
lapalma.co.uk
lanzarote.co.uk
menorca.co.uk

The sites will carry similar branding to sunshine.co.uk, but aim to significantly cut the time and effort taken for customers to find a holiday, by only offering vacations to resorts within one specific destination.

Chris Brown, co-founder of sunshine.co.uk and the newly launched domains, commented; “We’re really excited about these new domains, as it’s something we’ve been looking to do for a while and it has taken time to get to this stage. With limited advertising, search engine optimisation is very important to us and the aim of these new domains is to acquire some natural traffic, as well as providing holidaymakers with a clear-cut and easy website to find location specific vacations.

“Since we’ve launched tenerife.co.uk and the other domains, they have done incredibly well and exceeded our expectations. We hope that we’ll have similar success with the new domains and look forward to monitoring their performance, especially for spain.co.uk following their World Cup win!”
