Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announces the opening of The Romanos in June 2010, a Luxury Collection Resort in Costa Navarino, Greece. The hotel features 321 rooms and suites, including 121 with individual infinity pools and most rooms offer spacious terraces with gorgeous views of the Mediterranean. The Romanos is part of a 130-hectare, mixed-use beachfront development called Navarino Dunes, the first of four major developments in Costa Navarino and was the first hotel to open in this new luxury destination.

The hotel's culinary offerings include the Pero Restaurant featuring indigenous cuisine based on local organic ingredients, and Eleon, a Greek restaurant complete with wine cellar. The resort’s 660 square meter beachfront Royal Villa Koroni features its own infinity pool, a barbeque area, a spa treatment suite with steam room and private fitness facilities.

Located amidst lush olive groves in the Messinia region on Greece’s southwest Peloponnese coast, the area has put a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility and The Romanos has met strict environmental standards to protect the idyllic landscape for future generations.
