Friday, August 13, 2010

In an attempt to continue the great success of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities' (SCTA) initiative in providing marketing outlets to Saudi women artisans in collaboration with Abdul Mohsin Al Hokair Group for Tourism and Development, the 10th bazaar for Saudi women artisans was hosted at the Riyadh Gallery Mall in Riyadh.

Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Haz’a, director of training and vocational standards in the National Project for Tourism Human Resources Development “Takamul,” praised the success of previous initiatives that were executed jointly by SCTA and the Al Hokair Group. Previous projects have been implemented in line with the agreement between the parties in this regard, which stipulates the launching of an artisans’ bazaar at the end of every month in one of the Hokair Malls.

About the 10th bazaar, Dr. Al Haz’a, said: “The project had identified this time of the month, because this week falls just before the advent of the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, and will be followed by Eid al-Fitr, in addition to a large number of families' visit to Riyadh in the current period.” He added that the bazaar, this time, will see the participation of eight artisans from the Insan Association making a bid to market their products in Riyadh.
