Enhanced cooperation with ASKY Airlines eliminates need for additional overnight in Addis Ababa
Ethiopian Airlines brings U.S. travelers connecting service to more of West Africa
Tuesday, September 07, 2010
Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to announce new connections throughout West Africa beginning September 5, 2010, as a result of the airline`s cooperation with newly-formed
ASKY airlines. The announcement comes nearly two years after the companies signed a management contract guaranteeing Ethiopian Airlines management rights over ASKY for a period of five years and a 25% stake in the start-up airline.
The enhanced cooperation with ASKY Airlines provides U.S. passengers with service to several new destinations in West Africa connecting to and from Ethiopian's daily flights between Addis Ababa and Lome. These new destinations include Cotonou, Benin; Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire; Niamey, Niger; Conakry, Guinea; Monvrovia, Liberia; Freetown, Sierra Leone; and Banjul, The Gambia.
The improved cooperation between Ethiopian Airlines and ASKY will eliminate the need for an additional overnight in Addis Ababa for U.S. travelers heading to destinations in West Africa.
