The latest recipient of the Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre’s (SECC) Champion Award has been revealed as the Greater Glasgow Hotels Association.
The award honours the contribution the Association has made to the success of the SECC during its 25 year history, and recognises the vital role the Association plays in providing accommodation to SECC visitors, from national and international conference delegates to the hundreds of concert goers travelling far and wide to see their favourite artists perform live.
The presentation was made at the recent HIT Scotland POETS Lunch to Mark Gallagher, joint Chair of the Greater Glasgow Hotels Association.
Presenting the award, the SECC’s Chief Executive Officer, John Sharkey said: “We are pleased to award the Greater Glasgow Hotels Association our latest Champion Award and to recognise its contribution to the SECC’s success over the last quarter of a century.
“The Greater Glasgow Hotels Association is essential to our collaboration with our city partners in bringing high quality events and conferences to the city. We look forward to continuing this strong working relationship in the years to come.”
Mark Gallagher added: “It is an honour to have been recognised by the SECC as part of their 25th Anniversary celebrations. We have had an enjoyable working partnership with them over that time and undoubtedly this will continue and contribute to both the association and the SECC’s success.”
