Certification followed extensive testing of vMUSE by Lufthansa Systems
ARINC’s vMUSETM Passenger System certified to CUPPS 1.1 standard
Tuesday, September 28, 2010
ARINC Incorporated announced its common-use passenger processing technology vMUSETM has achieved certification to the aviation industry’s CUPPS 1.1 standard.

Certification followed extensive testing of vMUSE by Lufthansa Systems, recognized as the industry’s most stringent independent Compliance Testing Entity (CTE). ARINC also completed a successful beta test program of vMUSE in cooperation with Las Vegas McCarran International Airport.

CUPPS (Common Use Passenger Processing Systems) is becoming the industry standard for uniformity in passenger processing platforms. CUPPS significantly reduces the time and effort necessary for deploying airline applications by standardizing the technical requirements, leading to cost savings and faster deployment.

“ARINC has benefited greatly from the support of IATA, ACI and ATA in developing this platform that conforms to the rigorous standards of the CUPPS Technical Specification,” stated David Kershaw, Director, Global Product Management. “We are also indebted to Samuel Ingalls of Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, whose leadership has brought this industry collaboration to a highly successful result.”
