Chelsea blooms lift gloom for London Hotels

The Chelsea Flower Show helped to raise the heads of London hoteliers slightly in May although occupancy figures were still the second worst on record, according to PKF`s monthly hotel performance figures.
The continuing lack of confidence caused by terrorist warnings, a flatlining economy, and instability in Iraq and the Middle East was reflected in the occupancy, room rate and yield figures for May although the drop was less steep than the April plunge.
