Event Hotels underscore its commitment to Sweden

Not even 2 months after its acquisition of a 257 room hotel in Malmo, Event Hotels announces the purchase of the 96 room Ibis Nykoping, thus executing its business plan to seek complementary distribution in key secondary Swedish cities in addition to core presence in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo.
“Extensive market research reveals that there is major regional demand for conference business in the Nykoping market“, sais Event’s CEO, Anders Braks. “As with the rest of the portfolio in Sweden, we will commence the refurbishment and redesign of the hotel shortly: a renovation aimed to bring well balanced practical and functional solutions, which fluidly join the conference space with the guest rooms in to a well choreographed cohesive whole“.
Event Hotels is a privately held Pan-European hotel investor and operator which currently owns/manages some 47 hotels in Europe (last year Event successfully disposed of 50 hotels in France).
