A select group of agents were invited both to thank them for their support as well as to promote the wealth of special interest opportunities.

Before dinner, the guests were offered the traditional Cyprus cocktail, Brandy Sour, and the pomegranate based cocktail, Aphrodini, in honour of the goddess of Love, Aphrodite, who was born in Cyprus, before dinner.

A guest speaker, Alex Christodoulou, Former Assistant Director of the Department of Forests, highlighted the fact that Cyprus has extensive forests and 97 walking paths, covering a distance of 861 km, which have been praised by walkers for their high standards.

Mr. Rossides, Director of CTO UK, said ‘due to the fact that we have such wonderful walking trails and cycling routes, there has been a phenomenal increase in the special interest sector from both the UK and other European markets’.

Chairman of AGTA, Mr. Noel Josephides, welcomed guests and highlighted the benefits of working with the members of the Association who ‘As Cypriots with a passion for our homeland and as owners of our own independent companies, are best placed to offer the widest range of holidays to the island’.
