South African Airways (SAA) was again voted as Best Airline Africa 2011 and is also the winner of the category Staff Service Excellence Africa in the Skytrax World Airline Awards. The awards were presented at the Paris Air Show, on 22nd June 2011.

The highly respected World Airline Awards by Skytrax were presented to winning airlines at an informal awards ceremony. The 2011 World Airline Awards has over 38 categories and the winners are selected by the airline industry’s most important audience – its customers.

More than 18.8 million passengers, representing 100 different nationalities took part in completing Skytrax’s World Airline Survey, which was conducted over a ten month period (July 2010 to April 2011).

The awards are recognized around the world, and we are renowned for being the only true global, independent passenger survey of airline standards.
