Global corporate travel and expense management consultancy FCm Travel Solutions has entered into a new partnership agreement with Turismo Balas in Bolivia. The new alliance significantly expands FCm’s Latin American capabilities in the corporate, leisure and group travel sectors and provides a new depth of product and services for FCm’s existing clients.
Headquartered in Santa Cruz, Turismo Balas started operations in Bolivia in 1953 and has a strong presence throughout the national territory. The agency has been offering dedicated business travel services for the past 20 years.
Turismo Balas has five business travel centres including offices at Viru Viru, El Alto and Jorge Wilsterman international airports in Bolivia. The company also has a large portfolio of corporate clients including a number of well known multinational business brands.
FCm Travel Solutions director Latin America network, Maren Hanschke, welcomed FCm’s new partner to the network and said Turismo Balas was an exciting addition to FCm’s global network.
“Turismo Balas is highly regarded in Latin America for its exceptional customer service, corporate travel expertise and innovative approach to client servicing and account management. Over the years, the agency also has developed excellent relationships with industry suppliers, which will provide globally competitive prices for FCm clients locally and globally,” Maren said.
“We’re delighted to be strengthening our local offering with the business travel capabilities we know Turismo Balas already provides for its current clients.”
Maren said Turismo Balas’ addition to the network represented another successful step in FCm’s strategic growth plan for Latin America. FCm is now partnered with 13 local agencies across Latin America.
“Over the past 18 months we have been steadily growing and enhancing our footprint in Latin America to strengthen our local capabilities for existing clients and expand our market share in the business travel space. Our new alliance in Bolivia follows new partnership agreements with leading travel agencies in Ecuador and in 2010 Costa Rica,” Maren said.
‘In the near future we will also be announcing a few more partnerships in Latin America, which will further strengthen our presence and offering here.”
