Holidays to Majorca are particularly popular
Sunmaster.co.uk predicts its top destinations for summer 2011 holidays
Tuesday, July 05, 2011

The online travel agent Sunmaster Holidays expects a bright start to the peak season of summer 2011, and believes that many of its beach holiday destinations are likely to prove popular despite the tough economic conditions in the UK. In fact, Sunmaster Holidays is so confident of its strong sales figures continuing throughout 2011, it has already predicted its three best-selling destinations for Sunmaster.co.uk 2011 holidays.

"We've decided to compile and publish our predicted three best-selling destinations for summer holidays 2011, just before the travel industries busy period" says Joseph Gourvenec, SEO Specialist at Sunmaster.co.uk. "This is because we are very confident we can accurately predict which holidays will sell well for us this year. We had strong sales figures for summer holidays in 2010, and our improved data analysis means we can be certain that there are particular destinations which will be surprisingly popular this year. There has been a tendency recently to focus on the doom and gloom of the tough economic outlook of 2011, but we believe our customers place a high priority on their annual summer holiday. So even if they have a little less money spare this year, their holiday is something they won't want to sacrifice."

So here are Sunmaster's predictions for their top three best-selling destinations for summer 2011 holidays:

Balearic Islands – With three islands all offering entirely different holidays (Majorca, Ibiza and Menorca), it's not surprising that the Balearics are always a firm favourite with Sunmaster Holidays customers. Holidays to Majorca are particularly popular; in fact Majorca is one of our No1 holiday destinations. It's this historic trend which leads Sunmaster to believe that the holidays to the Balearic Islands will again prove popular in summer 2011.

Canary Islands – Located closer to North Africa than mainland Spain, the Canary Islands have a unique advantage in offering cheap holidays that are popular all year round. The Canary Islands actually have one of the world's lowest variations in seasonal climate, so Sunmaster customers are just as likely to book holidays to Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria for winter 2011/2012 as they are for summer 2011/2012.

Mainland Spain – Offering classic beach holidays for over forty years now, Spain has certainly had time to get things right! This is certainly true of destinations like Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, with many British holidaymakers returning to their shores year on year. It's this type of strong loyalty to a destination which assures Sunmaster that holidays to Spain will be incredibly popular in 2011.
