SkyTeam frequent flier passengers world class services at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi
Kenya Airways opens new lounge at the JKIA
Tuesday, July 12, 2011

With a view to enhancing the range of value added services for its customers, national carrier Kenya Airways has announced the opening of a new lounge for its SkyTeam frequent members. The newly improved lounge at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, will offer SkyTeam frequent flier passengers world class services, making them comfortable ahead of their travel and during their transit.

Confirming the development, Kenya Airways Group Manager and CEO, Dr. Titus Naikuni said the opening of the lounge marks yet another milestone for Kenya Airways which attained the full SkyTeam global airline alliance membership last year.

“The opening of this new and outstanding facility continues to set us apart from other continental airlines and continues to entrench our position as an international airline. It also elevates the profile of our hub, the JKIA, in line with our new SkyTeam status”, said Dr. Naikuni.

The lounge has the capacity to accommodate up to 90 passengers, who will enjoy complimentary food and drinks, hot shower, high speed Wi-Fi internet connection, DSTV, among other services.

Passengers will enjoy more space, increased sitting capacity and more recreational area at the new lounge that will be open to all Platinum and Gold card elite frequent fliers from all SkyTeam member airlines departing or flying via Nairobi.

The new facility complements the already popular Simba Lounge which is exclusive to all Kenya Airways premier class passengers, offering a wide range of value added services to passengers before boarding the plane.
