The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Greece Pavlos Gerulanos announced on the press conference as a result of his visit to Russia that it’s possible to get Greek visa in Moscow Consulate in 24 hours. However, the tour operators haven’t noticed yet such simplification of the procedure: the visa is issued in 3 days.

According to Mr. Gerulanos, the Russian tourists will get some visa privileges pretty soon. For example, the visa will be issued just in 24 hours, the Greek Consulate will issue more long-term multiple visas. According to the information received from the Minister, the Consulate issued in 8 times more multiple visas in the first quarter of the year than during the same period of last year. “As a rule a multiple visa is issued for those who have got Greek Schengen in passport earlier. The tourists who travel to Greece for the first time get the visa for the period of holidays in Greece”, explained Anna Glybina, Zeus Travel.

According to the Russian tour operators Greece is on a great demand among the tourists. The profitability of this destination increased a little bit in July. “Now a regular season has started and the period of the great number of last minutes offers has been finished. Certainly, the price is lower than last year. It can be explained by the excess of the transportation. Nevertheless, for the moment the price is adequate to the season”, said Anna Glybina. She noted that the demand can sink a little bit at the end of August when the parents will come back home with the kids in order to prepare them for the school.
