The International Travel and Destination Expo (ITDE) will take place in the five star Le Meridien Lav hotel in Podstrana on the outskirts of the Adriatic port of Split from 24 to 27 November this year.

"ITDE Split due to the date will be the first in the region to present the newest trends of travelling and offers for the season 2012. Split has become a hit destination in recent years and because of its location the city has become very important for tourism development in the region. Being present at the fair might be of importance to many companies," the managing director of the International Travel and Destination Expo, Josko Nikolic commented.

The first edition of the event in the Le Meridien Lav hotel will have the connection between tourist trends and social networks as the focus. Lectures and discussions on the impact of Facebook or Twitter on the tourism season are expected to be a hit.

ITDE is a travel trade show for both industry professionals and consumers where exhibitors can present travel products and destinations for 2012 directly to potential Croatian and international travellers.

Set in Central Dalmatia, Split is a major port and the second largest city in Croatia, known for its rich cultural heritage (UNESCO protected), vibrant night life and the gateway to the numerous islands along the Adriatic coast.
