According to ATOR (Association of Tour Operators in Russia), Traveling all over the world, the European tourists want to see 7 wonders of the world, go on safari and stay in the luxury hotel. We asked our tour operators what can attract them in Russia.

The interest in Russia was always strong among the foreigners, thinks Elena Demidova from NTK Intourist. “Moscow, Sergiev Posad, St. Petersburg, the Golden Ring are the most popular routes among the foreigners all the time. Probably, thanks to the high quality of the service and a great number of the sights”, affirms Ms Demidova.

36% of the foreign tourists choose the country focusing on…the hotel. It’s very important for the clients to stay in luxurious or just in uncommon hotel. “We offer the accommodation in the best hotels of Moscow”, says Ivan Krishtopa, Interconnect.

“The river cruises are very popular as well. The cruise Moscow – St. Petersburg – Petrozavodsk – Kizhi – Vaalam and Moscow – Astrakhan by Volga river, which according to some sources is called a wonder of the world, are on great demand”, said Elena Demidova.

Just a small number of the foreigners visit Lake Baikal. And those, who are ready to discover the wonders of Russia during 2 weeks from the window of the train, go on Transsib tour. Oksana Trifonova, KMP Group explained: “The train goes from Moscow to Vladivostok with the stops in 5 cities. During the stops the tourists have an opportunity to get to know the local colour and the cuisine”.
