New routes and 10 million seats in the anniversary year
Germanwings releases 2012 summer flight schedule for booking
Monday, September 19, 2011
Its tenth anniversary year, the Germanwings 2012 summer flight schedule offers its customers the best choice yet. New routes have been added, and the low-cost airline has improved its existing network by increasing the frequency on many routes, giving passengers more choice and flight times better suited to their requirements. Of course the airline company is also winning passengers over with its consistently low prices.

The number of flights on routes from Cologne/ Bonn to Dublin and Edinburgh have been significantly increased, as well as the connections to Moscow and Budapest from Stuttgart.

Above all in its summer flight schedule the budget airline is significantly increasing its flights to the German capital: so in future Germanwings shall fly Cologne/Bonn – Berlin 46 times a week (up to eight times a day), increasing the capacity on this route by more than 31 per cent.

From Stuttgart there are now 42 scheduled flight connections weekly to Berlin instead of the 30 there were previously (seven times a day), an increase of 40 per cent.

Germanwings will also be running new routes next summer including those to Pristina –from the German airports Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne/Bonn, Frankfurt, Berlin-Schonefeld and Hanover. Also there will be more flights to the Sicilian town of Catania from Hanover. On many routes the budget airline is also offering additional morning flights in addition to the existing evening flights, so that business travellers, for example, can plan a daytrip and save on overnight accommodation.

In its tenth anniversary year, 2012, Germanwings has more than ten million seats on offer altogether.  In addition to the well thought out flight schedule with an attractive offering of routes from Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart, Berlin, Hanover and Dortmund there are also the best onboard products.

Guests with the best seat in the first ten rows of the new A319 airbus find themselves with so much more space than any other airline. An outstanding onboard a la carte service, a bookable empty middle seat for maximum comfort, membership to Lufthansa’s Miles & More Bonus programme and last but not least one of the best airline booking websites worldwide are standard for Germanwings.
