Presentation, and information package to Belgian planners
Meeting market in Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels receives meets Maastricht & Surrounding Area
Tuesday, October 11, 2011
Until next Friday, the Belgian meeting market is overwhelmed by Maastricht & surrounding area. This week, representatives of 17 (!) organisations from this region will pay an “autumn” visit to 25 companies, mainly in the regions of Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels, to present Maastricht & surrounding area as a destination for all kinds of corporate meetings.

Judith Nijssen, together with representatives of 16 partners of the Maastricht Convention Bureau, prepared with a presentation, information package and "autumn greeting", will show Belgian planners how attractive and nearby Maastricht & surrounding area is for all kinds of meetings. These visits of the Maastricht Convention Bureau and its partners have proven to be successful.

“We have been organising such visits for several years now and time and time again, they are a great success. It only took us a short while to fully book our diaries for this week,” says Judith Nijssen, Sales Manager Meetings & Incentives of the Maastricht Convention Bureau. “These meetings are very efficient and effective for everyone involved: the meeting planners have scheduled a meeting with us, so they are interested to hear our story. We visit them as a group from Maastricht & surrounding area, which means the planners hear one complete and broad story. They get a great impression of the many convention, meeting and incentive possibilities we have to offer and they come to realise how attractive and nearby Maastricht & region is and how this destination can contribute to a successful meeting. The planners receive a lot of information in a relatively short amount of time. Our group looks like one team: we all wear black blouses with the text ‘Maastricht: a star among cities’. This text is very clear on how we feel (laughs). And naturally, our aim is to make the planners feel the same way after our visit, because Maastricht truly is a star among cities!”.
