21 airlines already use Aviareps’ expert support for the collection of German Air Travel Tax
Aviareps has established itself as tax representative
Wednesday, October 12, 2011
Aviareps has continuously extended its services since the introduction of German Air Travel Tax. 21 airlines have now commissioned the general sales agent to act on their behalf for the collection of the air travel tax. Air Services, Aviareps’ fully-owned subsidiary, performs processing for a whole spectrum across the civil aviation industry from established scheduled carriers to low-cost and charter airlines. The French airline Europe Airpost has just become its 21st customer.

In addition to the airlines which Aviareps already supports as general sales agent and for which it has now extended its full-service package, many other airlines looking for a tax representative have now hit upon the Munich-based company. Airlines such as Air Canada, China Eastern, Air Arabia Egypt, Malaysia Airlines and Edelweiss Air rely on the market leader’s expertise and enjoy the professional support of the team led by Finance Manager Bekim Dura.

“Air travel tax causes a lot of administrative work for airlines which we can perform at very attractive, fixed-calculation conditions,” says CFO Rainer Kothe explaining Aviareps’ recipe for success. “Our long-standing experience, our qualified and specialised team, our networks within the industry and our continuous development in meeting the needs of our customers have established us as representatives for air travel tax within a very short period.”

Customers can choose between an integrated package and a customised service concept. In addition to administrative tasks such as registration, monthly tax declarations, correspondence, support for tax inspections and archiving, Air Services also bears responsibility with the airline for the submission of evidence and assumes joint and several liability for the air travel tax.

Besides providing assistance with air travel tax in Germany and Austria, Aviareps also offers additional financial services at an international level. These include performance of local accounting, payroll, reclaiming VAT and assistance with examining and negotiating supplier conditions.
