FastBooking hotels are displayed and bookable via Travelport Rooms and More
New partnership enhances FastBooking hotels’ visibility among travel agents
Thursday, October 20, 2011
FastBooking, one of the world’s leading online solutions providers for the hospitality industry, and Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry (GDS), have reached an agreement through which FastBooking client hotels are displayed and bookable on travelportroomsandmore.com, Travelport’s recently launched ground breaking hotel booking tool which allows travel agents to book a greater choice of commissionable accommodation and take advantage of the rapidly growing hotel sector.

“Our goal is to increase our hotels’ online business with travel agencies worldwide and to consolidate our position in this high-potential segment. The agreement with Travelport, one of the leading GDS players, is coherent with our strategy of developing a quality distribution network for our hotel clients by working with strong international partners,” said Alain Hirschfeld, Marketing Director, Business Development.

Travelport Rooms and More combines the metasearch functionality and user interface developed by Sprice.com, which was acquired by Travelport in May 2010, with Travelport’s core B-to-B expertise to deliver a completely integrated hotel booking platform.

The partnership will boost the visibility of FastBooking client hotels among the 65,000 connected travel agency customers in the worldwide Travelport network and create more high value opportunities.

“The FastBooking portfolio of independent hotels located in high demand destinations is fantastic new content for the increasing number of Travelport Rooms and More travel agency users and we’re delighted to be signing this partnership,” said Niklas Andreen, Travelport’s Group Vice President, Global Hospitality.
