Choice Hotels International, Inc., the global hotel group behind the Comfort, Quality, and Clarion brands and one of the largest and most successful lodging franchisors in the world, announced that it has awarded Clarion Suites Senart Paris Sud "European Clarion Hotel of the Year", Clarion Collection Opera Pavillion, Paris, "European Clarion Collection Hotel of the Year", Quality Spa & Resort Son Norway the "European Quality Hotel of the Year" and Comfort Hotel Roma Airport as the "European Comfort Hotel of the Year".

The hotels were judged to be the best in their brand categories out of the nearly 500 Choice Hotels brand properties operating throughout Europe and beat other short-listed properties located in France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, the UK and the Nordic countries.

Comfort Hotel Great Yarmouth was named as the "UK Comfort Hotel of the Year", Quality Hotel Edinburgh Airport as the "UK Quality Hotel of the Year" and Clarion Hotel Carrickfergus as the "UK Clarion Hotel of the Year". The three hotels were judged to be the best out of the Clarion, Quality and Comfort hotels operating throughout the UK.

The UK and European winners were selected by reviewing each property's guest satisfaction and cleanliness scores and by demonstrating consistent brand performance.
