Icelandair has been rated the second most punctual European airline of the members of the Association of European Airlines (AEA) on long-haul routes in September, with a punctuality rate of 91.6%. On shorter-haul routes, Icelandair came second of a total of 25 international airlines, with a punctuality rate of 89.6%. The AEA regularly publishes data on its member airlines' punctuality.
"Punctuality is a key element in our services and it is gratifying to have confirmation that, in the absence of special external circumstances such as volcanic eruptions or strike action, Icelandair is one of the top performers when it comes to reliability," says Birkir Holm Gunason, CEO of Icelandair.
