Thessaloniki CVB to debut at Geneva fair
Monday, May 08, 2000
The newly-formed Thessaloniki<.> Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB<.>) will make its international debut at the EIBTM tourism fair taking place in Geneva on May 23-25.
The office began operating in early April under the directorship of Eleni Mylona.
As Mylona explained to TDN, the bureau initially aims to develop links with international organisations and unions in the field of convention tourism, publish information brochures and increase its membership.
A brochure providing brief information on Thessaloniki and details on its capabilities as a conference host will be handed out at EIBTM.
TCVB is preparing to take part in a number of tourism fairs. In the future it plans to host seminars on the organisation of conferences, business meetings and incentive trips.
