Vacation.com, North America’s leading travel services marketing organization, announces the acquisition of Weston, Fla.-based Cruise Shoppes, the only national travel agent consortium focused strictly on cruising. No further details regarding the acquisition will be divulged.
“Since their organization has been centered on cruising, Cruise Shoppes members needed an industry-leading affiliation that could strengthen their cruise relationships and marketing capabilities. They found that with Vacation.com,” said Vacation.com President John Lovell. “Cruise Shoppes members’ proven sales history with our cruise partners will only serve to strengthen our immensely sturdy relationships we’ve built with suppliers.”
Cruise Shoppes’ core product offerings for their members have focused on an extensive list of cruise line partners to cover a large number of niches and cruise types. They also have provided their members with marketing, technology and training support.
“The core of what we have done -helping our members sell cruises more proficiently and more profitably- will be significantly enhanced by being part of Vacation.com, whose combined membership is the largest seller of cruises in the industry,” said Cruise Shoppes CEO Bill Kerby.
