The company accesses Travelfusion’s content through a pre-packaged direct connect API
Click boosts direct connect offering with Travelfusion
Thursday, December 15, 2011
Business TMC Click Travel has expanded its direct connect offering after securing a new content partnership with Travelfusion, the specialist online travel software company.

Through the new partnership, Click Travel will be able to offer users of its cloud based online booking software access to air fares from an additional 150 low cost flight operators from around the world.

Commenting on the partnership, Click Travel managing director Simon McLean said: “The direct connect model is one that appeals to us because of how closely its aligned to our core business ethos – providing value to business travel bookers.

“Plugging into this new service with Travelfusion not only gives our users access to more content, but better allows us to show a booker the best possible provider based on their preference – whether that’s price, airline or facilities.”

The company accesses Travelfusion’s content through a pre-packaged direct connect API, which dovetails with Click’s bespoke software system.

Bookers using the software are shown the Travelfusion fares alongside Click’s other GDS and direct connect content, with the software highlighting the best option based on the client’s pre loaded travel policy.

Jonathan Penn, VP sales at Travelfusion said: “Click Travel came to us with their unique software proposition in need of simple, raw content.  Because of their approach to building their own software, the front-end technology was taken care of which fitted perfectly with our XML content system.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the added value that our direct connect partnerships will bring to Click Travel’s clients.”
