Tuesday, December 27, 2011
Starting January 1st, the hotel tax will drop down to 1% for the whole country, following the new regulation of Fiscal Code which equalizes hotel tax value nationally.

Hotel tax represents a percentage of total value of accommodation for each day of staying of the tourist. According to the new Fiscal Code, approved during the meeting on August 31st, 2011, the tax percentage for buildings having a tourism activity not functional during a year will be of minimum 5% of the inventory value of the building.

Another decision to help extending tourism season at the seaside is to reduce by 50% the tax on buildings and lands located at Black Sea seaside, owned by companies and aimed for tourism activities for at least 6 months in a year.
