Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino announces new premium all-inclusive program
Tuesday, December 27, 2011
Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino on the exotic island of Sint Maarten welcomes guests with new first-class amenities during the 2011/12 winter season. The resort’s new premium all-inclusive plan offers everything that you’ve come to expect from the finest AI resorts—making the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino the only true all-inclusive property in Sint Maarten.

The new all-inclusive plan includes: premium liquor in all Premier category rooms’ minibars; soft drinks in all other room categories; no reservations required for any of our dining outlets; new and enhanced entertainment; and no surcharge on dinner menus. Amenities on the all-inclusive plan will also be available to European Plan guests for an additional charge.

New Resort Amenities

More than 200 of our rooms were given a full soft refurbishment, from new draperies to upholstery to bed spreads, all in a cool, tropical pattern that echoes Sint Maarten’s lush surroundings. Linens have been upgraded to soft, pristine white cotton, and fluffy white towels grace the bathrooms. Fresh flower arrangements complement every welcome.

In the Tower, the company retiled all the elevator landings (10 in total) and relined the Ocean Terrace pool. To complete the picture, we resurfaced the pool deck and purchased new chaise lounge chairs for both the pool area and the beach, allowing our guests to relax in style.

Our resort also received an extensive restaurant redo. The popular Ocean Terrace buffet area was completely redesigned for better flow. The area was redecorated and repainted in bright island colors, giving guests a brilliant welcome to their meals. The Palms Grill also received a fresh coat of paint.

Guests will thoroughly enjoy the new Maho Cafe, opened as an extension to our breakfast and lunch offerings. Specialty coffee, fragrant breakfast pastries, fresh sandwiches and a variety of delicious desserts top the menu. The tempting aroma of oven-baked pizza now wafts through the air, courtesy of the new pizzeria, complete with pizza oven and a exciting pizza prep area. Meanwhile, beach lovers will find their snack options expanded with the new hot dog cart and jerk stand, a savory—and very popular—nod to local cuisine.

Dinnertime theme nights received a makeover of their own: our lithe dancers and stage productions during our Mexican, Caribbean Beach Party and Latin nights now boast new props and decorations. This nightly entertainment now syncs with our restaurant theme nights. Those who’d rather cuddle up under the stars can do so with our nightly movies set up on the beach. Kids will love the new arcade, fully equipped with video games and age-appropriate entertainment, while our games area sports a new pool table, a ping-pong table for afternoon matches and more.

The crown jewel of our resort is our new Serenity Spa. This onsite retreat was created to pamper guests in mind, body and soul with a full menu of treatments designed to restore, rebalance and rejuvenate. Residual pre-vacation stress is melted away by massage, facials and enhancers go a long way towards erasing the signs of aging through hydration and detoxification, while body wraps prepare the figure for a day in a bikini or an evening in a clingy dress.

We have also opened up a Logoshop, which will carry items of personal necessity, a line of handcrafted souvenirs and logo items, as well as a Tour Desk. The latter will handle inland tours and excursions, as well as trips to neighboring islands. Our hotel will receive commissions from the excursion and tour vendors, while offering our guests an added dimension to their beach getaway.
