It’s planning to create several tourist recreational zones in Bolshoy Ussuriyskiy island and recreational wellness centres in some nature reserves by 2015 in the framework of the regional target program of the development of the domestic and inbound tourism in Khabarosvkiy kray.

The region will need the investments of 3 billion rubles for realization of the program. A third part of the sum will be granted from the regional budget.

The major infrastructure objects of the future cluster will be located in the outskirts of Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Sovetskaya Gavan. It’s planning to open the Centre of Ecological Tourism on the basis of the national park Anyuiskiy in Nanayskiy district. Several facilities will appear near Khabarovsk: sport and tourism Complex “Khekhtsyr”, tourist complex “Voronezh” and tourist complex “Belovodye”. A balneology resort will be built near Sovetskaya Gavan.

Besides, the region authorities plan to continue the development of other tourist facilities. In particular, the money means will be granted for the renovation of ski complex “Kholdomi”. Another important aim is a revival of traditional for Khabarovskiy kray type of tourism – Amur river cruises.

According to the estimates of Khabarovsk experts, the program of the development of the domestic and inbound tourism will allow first of all to increase the number of the foreign tourists. It’s planning that the number of the tourists will increase in 4.5 times by 2017 (100 000 arrivals per year).
