HAC announces 2011 Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence Recipients

The Hall of Fame Awards Program was developed by the HAC to recognize those of its members (individuals, companies or properties) that have demonstrated significant accomplishments, exemplary leadership and tireless commitment to Canada’s lodging industry.

Winners have been recognized in four categories. The winners of the Award of Excellence in each category include:
- Humanitarian: Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre Slave Lake and Edmonton South
- Human Resources: The Westin Ottawa
- Energy & Environment: Hotel M – Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saint-Hyancinthe
- Stephen Phillips Passion for Hospitality Bursary: Lauren AuCoin, Mount Saint Vincent
University.

“The goal of HAC’s awards program is to reward strong standards in the industry that will enable Canada to remain competitive,” said Tony Pollard, HAC President. “We are pleased to honour the 2011 winners, whom we feel represent some of the finest examples of professionalism, quality and excellence.”

The HAC Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence will be presented on March 6th at the HAC’s Annual Convention being held at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
