airBaltic increases total luggage weight limit
airBaltic makes luggage cheaper
Monday, January 16, 2012
Latvian national airline airBaltic has made check-in luggage cheaper for passengers who travel with more than one bag in airBaltic’s network of 60 destinations in Europe, Middle East, Russia and CIS.

airBaltic is known for affordable travel via North Hub Riga to and from destinations such as London, Rome, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Moscow, Kiev or Oslo. Now travellers can also enjoy cheaper luggage, if travelling with multiple heavy bags.

Previously, luggage weight limit did not increase with multiple bags checked-in. From now on, Economy class passengers taking more than one check-in bag on airBaltic flights increase their total luggage weight limit, and thus every luggage kilogram becomes cheaper for the passenger. For one check-in bag the weight limit is 20 kg, for two – 25 kg, for three- 30 kg, and so on.

For passengers willing to fly their check-in luggage at no extra charge, airBaltic introduced its airBalticBag branded suitcase last summer. This is carried as free check-in luggage on an unlimited number of airBaltic flights for twelve months from the day of purchase. airBaltic has earned international recognition for being the first airline in the world to offer such an innovative product as airBalticBag.

airBaltic serves over 60 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
