The Swedish Government, through Kammarkollegiet, has decided to extend its contract for non-domestic flights with SAS and its Star Alliance partners Lufthansa, Swiss and Austrian Airlines. The contract is worth a total of SEK 700 million.
Kammarkollegiet highly valued both SAS's prices and timetable, as it choose to extend the contract with SAS and its partners within the Star Alliance. The contract applies to all flights outside Sweden.
"We are proud that the Swedish Government values our extensive route network. We will also continue to save time for their employees, as we have just been named Europe's most punctual airline for the third year in a row," says Lars-Ove Filipson, Vice President, Corporate Sales.
The top destinations for the Swedish Government's non-domestic flights in 2011 were Brussels, London and Copenhagen. The contract has been extended for one year until May 31, 2013. The SAS contract is used by 265 government authorities, departments, colleges and universities in Sweden.
