Global Hotel Exchange is a new online travel agency model
Global Hotels Exchange adds 1,000 plus CLIA and ILIA hotels to its roster

The California Lodging Industry Association and Independent Lodging Industry Association have signed up more than 1,000 hotels to Global Hotels Exchange this week, prior to the official launch of GHX, which was postponed from January 2012 to March 2012 because of massive signups and demand.

Global Hotel Exchange, a new online travel agency model, offering cost-free distribution to hotels facing ever-rising commissions and fees, has already signed thousands of hotels in advance of its launch. CLIA and ILIA are joining an already large family, and will continue to add more hotels in the near future:

"We are looking forward to adding over a thousand member hotels to the Global Hotel Exchange inventory," said Bobbie Singh-Allen, J.D, Executive Vice President / COO of the California Lodging Industry Association and Executive Director of the Independent Lodging Industry Association. "This is an exciting opportunity for small and independent hotels to improve their bottom line with increased hotel revenue and bookings. We will work with Global Hotel Exchange to add several thousand additional hotels in the coming months."

Global Hotel Exchange CEO Thomas Magnuson has already noted that “The massive number of hotels we are signing daily from dozens of countries clearly indicates a desire to combat a global triple threat of falling demand, lower room rates, and increased OTA fees.”

To flawlessly integrate all hotels within the GHX matrix, the company decided to postpone launching in January 2012 for March 2012.
