Vueling, the new generation airline, has carried 727,704 passengers in January 2012. This represents a 13.3% increase compared with January 2011. The company has reached a load factor of 72.3%, 5.8 points higher than last year.

Vueling will consolidate its leadership position in its Barcelona hub by increasing the offer for the 2012 summer season. Vueling will open five  new routes in addition to those previously announced; Berlin and Hamburg from Barcelona, and Tenerife, Las Palmas and Lanzarote from Bilbao. Additionally, the summer programme will be significantly strengthened with an increase of frequencies in some of the existing routes.
