Minister of Civil Aviation Ahmad Shafek decided to form a committee to oversee the selling of two Boeing 747.
The ad hoc committee, that will group technical, legal, auditing and maintenance experts, will assess the value of the planes, said Asa`ad Darweesh, Deputy Chairman of Egypt Air Holding Company.
The selling of the two planes is part of a process to replace and upgrade the national carrier`s fleet and unify the types of planes operating to facilitate maintenance and decrease costs, said Darweesh.
