Barcelo includes a strong retail travel chain of 300 branches in Spain, Argentina and other major countries, as well as major outbound operators like
Turavia. It carried approxemately 600.000 outbound passengers and 2.1 million incoming passengers last year.
Carlson also announced that it is looking for a partner to buy in Thomas Cook. Favourite for the tie-up is the Swiss-based Kuoni Group.
