Thailand and Vietnam have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on tourism cooperation. The deal was signed by Thai and Vietnamese tour operators during a visit to Hanoi this week by a Thai delegation, led by senior officials of the northeastern province of Udon Thani.
Under the agreement, the Thai and Vietnamese tour operators will join hands in promoting tourism of both countries, as well as improving their tour service quality, and publicizing tourist products to locally and internationally.
The Thai delegation also took part in a seminar on World heritages:Triangle-Potential and Opportunities during their visit to Hanoi, scheduled on 20-22 June.
The seminar discussed and promoted world heritages in the region as prime tourist sites, including Banchiang in Thailand, Luang Prabay in Laos, and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, according to a news report of Vietnam News Agency (VNA), which was disseminated to TNA on Wednesday.
