Nakheel launches sales of Marina Apartments at The Palm Jumeirah
Tuesday, June 29, 2004
Nakheel announced that they have released a total of 900 units for sale, on a freehold basis, within The Palm Jumeirah development. The apartments are uniquely positioned at the heart of the Palm overlooking the marina on the island.

The Palm has already proven itself as a singularly unique residential location, not merely in Dubai but around the world, said Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Nakheel. We believe that the Marina Apartments complex will prove an irresistible opportunity for those who wish to adopt The Palm as part of their address, with the added benefit of being able to choose from a range of homes to suit their individual styles and budgets.

Covering six luxury residential freehold buildings located at the heart of The Palm overlooking the central marina, Marina Apartments comprise 858 apartments, 12 penthouses and 30 townhouses totalling 900 homes. The complex is housed in one of the most prestigious developments on The Palm - located on the uppermost part of the palm trunk, at the top of `The Golden Mile`.

Residents of Marina Apartments can look forward to mooring their boats at private jetties, cruise along the canals, and enjoy the many privileges of a home by the water, Sulayem elaborated.

While the apartments will be housed on each floor of all six buildings, the penthouses will be restricted to two per building on the highest floor, and the townhouses will be located independently, adjoining the marina. The areas between each building and the townhouses will offer picturesque landscaping and recreational areas. Each home has been designed to exacting standards, highlights of which include ergonomic usage of space and choice of stunning sea views.

Whatever the choice of each individual costumer, what is truly amazing about every home located in the complex is the panorama of magnificent sea views. In addition to views from every window of every home, we have also planned a series of unique View Decks in the buildings facing inwards towards the Marina, he added.

Sulayem confirmed that Nakheel had commenced sales for all Marina apartments at the Palm Sales Office, located on Al Soufuh Road.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
