Monday, August 16, 1999

Attica Enterprises, the holding company for Greece's most modern ferry line, Superfast  Ferries, received confirmation for the delivery of another two fast ferries. The first will be delivered in June of next year and the second in early July. The new deliveries will give the line a fleet of six new, super-fast ferries for the Greece-Italy route. The two additional ferries will allow for two daily departures from Patras to Ancona – one direct and one via Igoumenitsa – and two daily departures from Patras and Igoumenitsa for Bari. Another four new super-fast ferries are under construction and will be delivered in 2001. The new vessels will cement the company's position as the world's most modern fast-ferry operator. It sports the fastest and most modern fast-ferry fleet in the world today. All new ship s will be used on the Greece-Italy route where Superfast Ferries holds first place in passenger and vehicle movement.
