Slovenia: Increasing number of foreign tourists

Slovenia has much to expect in the area of tourism, as the number of foreign tourists visiting Slovenia so far this year has proved encouraging.

According to statistics published so far, 297,669 tourists visited Slovenia in July, which is up 1% over July 2003. The number of foreign tourists increased by 7%, while the number of Slovene tourists saw a slight drop. Most foreign visitors came from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Austria. Compared to previous years, a considerably higher number of visitors came from Great Britain, France and the United States.
