Hertz Kuwait reports rise in outbound bookings
Friday, October 22, 2004
Hertz Kuwait has reported a 40 per cent increase in Kuwaiti travellers making reservations for business and leisure trips abroad during the nine months of 2004 compared to the same period last year.

“It seems Kuwaitis have taken to travelling again and we are pleased many of them are choosing Hertz as their travel partner,” said Roxana Anisia, Rental Sales Manager, Hertz Kuwait.

Germany proved to be the most popular destination for Hertz Kuwait customers, accounting for 18 per cent of all bookings. The USA and Switzerland generated respectively 16 and 15 per cent of bookings. The UK ranks fourth in popularity with 14 per cent of Hertz Kuwait rentals. Most European reservations were generated in summer, as travellers were taking trips, up to two months long, to their favourite destinations.

Dubai and Lebanon are the two most-preferred Middle East destinations for Hertz Kuwait renters, with short-term breaks generating the largest volume.

Hertz Kuwait, provides a full range of car rental services from its branches in Shuwaikh, at Kuwait International Airport, the J. W. Marriott Hotel in Al Hilali Street, the Hilton Hotel and Resort in Managaf and the Courtyard Hotel in Kuwait City Centre.

Poll
The imminent privatization of Olympic Airlines is expected to change the fate of this debt-laden airline. What do you think the new owner should do in regard to the brand name of the Greek national flag carrier?.

Keep “Olympic Airlines” as the name of the company as it remains a strong brand.

The company should keep “Olympic” as an element of its name but refresh the brand (e.g. “New Olympic Airlines”).

The airline should drop “Olympic” from its name. This brand has lost its value and isn’t relevant to the market anymore.
