Per Aquum Resorts&Spas appoints Scot Toon as GM of The Fortress

Tom McLoughlin, Managing Director, Per Aquum Resorts & Spas in Maldives has announced the executive appointment of Scot Toon as General Manager of The Fortress. Scot’s role, which will be effective immediately, will encompass both the pre-opening stages of The Fortress and continued management once the property is launched in the final quarter of 2005.

Scot brings with him a wealth of experience having been with Per Aquum Resorts & Spas for the past two years. His most recent position was General Manager for Dhoni Mighili, the Maldives’ most unique and exclusive holiday concept. Whilst at Dhoni Mighili Scot ensured the continuation of extensive training for all staff on a daily basis ensuring the highest levels of service for guests.

Prior to this, Scot held the position of Director of Human Resources for Per Aquum, where he was heavily involved in the pre-opening stages of Dhoni Mighili and Huvafen Fushi.

Originally from New Zealand, Scot has worked in a number of top resorts worldwide. His background has been as Operations Manager working with airlines, managing crew training and recruitment. In addition to a strong operational background he has played a major role within senior management for leading hotel brands such as Hayman Island, Stamford Hotels & Resorts and The Rarotongan in the Cook Islands. Scot has a passion for developing people to excel at their work, in whatever they do.
