International Luxury Travel Market
Prestige debut from Hertz at ILTM
Tuesday, December 07, 2004
Hertz car rental company, will be playing a major role at this year’s International Luxury Travel Market. The company is displaying some top-of-the-range vehicles from its extensive fleet and offering visitors to the show the chance to test drive one of Hertz’ luxury vehicles by entering a holiday prize draw competition.

Hertz will be using the four-day event to showcase the luxurious Hertz Prestige Collection – a unique array of some of the world’s finest vehicles which includes such cars as the sumptuous Mercedes S350SL and the aspirational Jaguar XJ6, the capacious Range Rover Vogue V8, and the racy Chrysler Crossfire two-seater.

The car rental giant is also sponsoring the show’s VIP area, and will be offering delegates the chance to win a two night break featuring a Hertz Prestige Collection car and accommodation at one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties. Delegates can enter the competition by simply dropping their business cards into a hat on the stand.

The Collection is available at selected locations across Europe and in the USA and Canada. In addition to a host of other top-of-the-range in-car amenities, many of the Prestige Collection vehicles come with satellite navigation systems as standard.

All Prestige Collection cars are hand-valeted before each rental and can be booked by specific model, rather than by an all-encompassing “group” of vehicle types.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is a collection of over 300 independently owned superior hotels, and the partnership with Hertz brings reciprocal benefits to customers including 10% off Hertz rentals worldwide and exclusive special offers! To celebrate the deal, Hertz is offering guests the chance to drive to their chosen hotel in style with a 20% discount on the full range of luxury cars available in the Hertz Prestige Collection. The offer is available in Europe and North America on rentals of two days or more until the end of February 2005 for guests staying in participating hotels.**

Members of The Club of Small Luxury Hotel of the World* will receive complimentary membership to the Hertz #1 Gold Club while existing Gold Club member will receive an automatic 10% discount at participating hotels along with a special gift on arrival.

Poll
How will the currently developing financial crisis and oil prices rally affect the tourism industry?.

they will have temporary and minimal effect and the situation will stabilize in a year or two

we should be looking at a restructuring in the international tourism movements and trends

it is still too early to access the impact on world tourism, medium or long term

we will see more tourism closer to home, and less international travel
